What is a transaction hash (TxID)?

Category: Transaction Basics · Last updated: 10.03.2026

A transaction hash (TxID) is a unique identifier assigned to every blockchain transaction. Think of it as a receipt number. You can use it to track your transaction on a block explorer like Etherscan or Blockchain.com.

How to Use Your TxID

After sending your payment, you'll receive a TxID. Copy this hash and paste it into the relevant block explorer (Etherscan for Ethereum, Blockchain.com for Bitcoin, Tronscan for TRON). This shows you real-time confirmation status, the amount sent, and the destination address. If you contact support about a transaction, always include your TxID for faster resolution.
